Journey into Creativity
The Regional Museum of Vaudreuil- Soulanges is very pleased to invite the public to the exhibition ‘Journey into creativity’ of Agnes Jorgensen and André Chatelain, available until November 3, 2013.
Agnes and André Chatelain both paint on the same canvas.
This couple from Pincourt will bring spectators to travel around the world and time. Their complicity is such that they paint together on the same canvas. Both professional artists, they met during a course on the technique of the old masters at the Academy of Realist Art. Their personal and artistic lives then took a new path.
An exhibition that makes you feel good.
Each oil painting on large format canvas includes a representation of a statue of the history of art from prehistoric times, through the Renaissance, and up to the present. These artworks present beautiful landscapes in the world: Vienna, Paris, Florence and Bali. Everything to make you dream!
In reading the accompanying texts, visitors will be touched by this love story that is expressed through art. They will also find the romantic story of the marriage proposal, inspiring quotes from artists and additional information about the sculptures which are honored
We also learn a little more about their humanitarian project Painting a New World. Agnes and André founded the nonprofit organization in 2008. Through the sales of their works and various art projects, they bring a positive and permanent change to benefit communities locally and in developing countries, Kenya, Chad and Haiti, among others. Their involvement was recognized in 2009 when they received the Humanity award from the Académie Internationale des Beaux-Arts du Québec. Agnes and André are heartfelt people, talented artists and a couple who makes you believe in love.
For those who were unable to be present at the opening, it will be possible to meet with the artists once again on October 6. The exhibition will continue until November 3, 2013 at the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges at 431 St. Charles Avenue in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
